Integration with other apps is very good
I love the pomodoro app- it gives me a great idea of how productive I really am. I have been working much harder and smarter after I started using this- very happy!
Much better than a timer, since it also tracks topics of my choosing and shows me how much time my work actually takes! Im able to talk with management about expectations and scope a reasonable work plan as a result.
Basically does what it should.
Am I the only one whose syncing is off between phone app and Mac app? Started out being just 5 seconds off. Now its up to over 15 seconds. How can this be called syncing when its clearly NOT synced?
Otherwise great app.
I have been using the app for 2(?) years. It helps me pace myself when studying and keeps record of my effort. I have the app on my iPad and phone and laptop. I dont like how I have to pay for pro on my laptop. I also noticed as the week goes on, the x-axis lengthens and the graph becomes smaller to accommodate the longer time line, but now I cant see how many pomodoros I have completed: it is something between 15 and 20 for one day, but there arent notch marks on th4 y axis. I would like to tap on the bar and it should tell me how many pomodoros it represents. I have to specify the date & make it a one day range to see the number value. Seeing the length of the bar isnt enough for me. I dont like the new name "Be focused". It is non-unique, its ugly, and I feel like someone is patronizing me. I liked "Pomodoro" better.
Certain tasks I just dislike-opening Mail and processing papers. So I set the timer, hit "Do Not Disturb" on the Apple Watch, and away I go. This app tracks my tasks, and looking at the list of things I have accomplished really feels good! The app is worth the $2.95. I have yet to mess with Chrono Plus or Outline, which came with this app. I like having the timer available to me at all times, and the list of tasks too. I love this app for practicing piano, so I can show my instructor my practice times.
Likes: -Cusomizable timers, sounds, and functions -Never sleep mode -Clean simple Notification widget. -Syncing across ipad/iphone/mac -Customizable goals and categories (sync) -Plays sounds through headphones -Good alert options Could be better: -Id like it if the notification widget didnt open the app every time I used it. -Id love if I could select pomodoro categories from the widget. -Id love if I could see my number of completed sessions from the widget. -Silencing your iPhone/iPad might mean silencing the notification, even if youre wearing headphones. (Happens to me when the app is in the background or if the phone is asleep) -White noise functions would be nice, but not necessary. Other: I dont have an apple watch, so I dont know anything about its app.
Forces you to stay focused for the pomodoro time you have selected as you can see the time running down. You can track your workload and what you have done so far. The updates make it better every time . Hod some issues with syncing among the apple devices but seems like it has been solved. Recommended!
Has majorly increased my productivity!
Control your day or your day will control you.
I like "Tide" MUCH better. I use this app because it syncs between devices. But now it cant even get the time right.
Keeps me productive and focused especially when tasks get added to my already busy To Do list. Its helpful that the work and break time periods can be adjusted as needed.
Does what I need it to.
Study Pomodoro and then use this. I get some much accomplished when using this method and app.
Im competitive. I also have difficulty focusing on a single task at times. Ergo, following the Pomodoro technique & using a timer app is a lifesaver. Having a quantitative measure of how much Im getting done makes me more productive. Ive tried a number of Pom apps & this is my favorite for one major reason-I can name tasks and track how many intervals completing it takes. A) I get a sense of completion, B) it helps me plan my schedule better. Plus, hooray for syncing across devices using Pro.
Im on my fifth year of attempting community college...I have tried just about everything to discipline myself, and I have to say that this app makes a bigger difference to me than even medication! I think because of the immediate gratification of hearing the alarm and knowing I finished 25 minutes really keeps me on task. And of course you cant really go off and forget about work because your break alarm will end. I actually purchased the pro version (which I never do) as a way of saying THANK YOU to the creator. Between this app, ritalin, and coffivity, I may yet achieve a college degree... By the way, if youre super visual like me, you can name the alarms with all sorts of cute little emojis based on your mood. Keeps me motivated haha.
The mobile UI and Mac UI mimic each other in cleanliness and focus. It accomplishes the goal of disciplined timers just fine.
